Organization culture plays a crucial role in the performance and success of a company. Changing culture from sub-optimal to optimal takes time, while the reverse transition can happen rapidly, especially in the absence of effective leaders. Each individual plays a role in shaping culture, and awareness of the impact of culture on behavior is key. Uniformity in leadership can hinder diversity of thought and debate. Diversity, including in leadership, provides a competitive advantage. Every individual, regardless of rank, can contribute to the formation of a positive organizational culture through awareness, adherence to values, and positive daily actions. Culture is a key asset shaping the uniqueness and competitiveness of an organization.
