The Mental Health of Our Youth

According to former Health Minister Dr. Zulkefly Ahmad, approximately 4.2 million people in Malaysia are currently experiencing mental health issues.

Generally, mental health refers to an individual's level of emotional and psychological well-being. In the past decade, the rates of suicide and mental illness have significantly increased, largely due to poor mental health.

One of the most concerning consequences is that even children as young as 10 years old are becoming victims of these issues and have attempted suicide. This highlights the severity of the problem and the urgent need for attention and intervention. The mental health of individuals, regardless of age, should be a priority, and efforts should be made to promote awareness, provide proper support systems, and ensure access to mental health services for those in need.
