The Bachelor of Communication (B. Comm.) programme offers four (4) areas of study: | | - Journalism - Broadcasting - Human Communication - Corporate Communication |
The Curriculum for the Bachelor of Communication is wide in scope and is holistic in its approach . It aims to help individuals communicate effectively and equip them with knowledge and skills in the field of communication and related fields.
Students choose courses from three categories: university courses, faculty courses and elective courses.
The objectives of the Bachelor of Communication programme are as follows:  | To train students to think critically and creatively in relation to communication so that they can contribute to society. |  | To help develop students' competence in the field of communication. |
Duration of Study
The duration of the Bachelor of Communication programme is 3 years. Admissions Requirements
Minimum Requirements for STPM holders
| a. | A pass in the SPM examination or its equivalent with at least a credit in the Malay Language (Bahasa Melayu). Without this, applicants with at least an E grade in Malay Language (Bahasa Melayu) at STPM level may still be considered for admission. | | b. | A pass in four subjects at STPM level or its equivalent with grade E for at least two of the subjects (inclusive of General Paper) OR a pass with at least grade E in three subjects, (inclusive of General Paper).
| Requirements for Special Cases | | a. | A Diploma from UPM or any other accredited institutions, or | | b. | A Certificate in a relevant field of study with working experience of at least three years. | | c. | Any other qualification approved by the University Senate.
| Special Requirements for STPM holders | | - | A pass in the SPM English Language paper
| Other Requirements | Applicants must provide evidence of good health to undertake the programme. Forms for the medical report are provided by the university. |
